We wanted to let you all know that the Apocalypse is still alive and well! In all honesty, we had lost a lot of steam in the last several months. However, our small but dedicated team has rallied with a renewed dedication to get apocalyptic on your collective asses!
We've been hard at work, and we've got some new stuff to share with you. First up are some updated screenshots from "Ground Zero". El Teniente has incorporated a hazy fog on the map, giving it a very creepy, atmospheric feel. We also wanted to give you a peek at the causeways that criss-cross the flooded city. They're a lot of fun to drive on, but they're narrow, so if you meet another car coming the other way, get ready to rumble! "Ground Zero" is currently in the beta testing phase, and we're excited to see how it plays out.
We also have some screens from "Sea of Cyclopean", a map that is currently in production under the loving care of ViolentSobriety. This is a big, barren wasteland featuring dusty forgotten highways and dirt roads. The wide-open desert is going to be just the place to get your Mad Max on!
Last but not least, we wanted to show you some video of the animated sharks that will appear in "Ground Zero". This is just one of the uber-cool animated objects that Hitpawz has been working on, and we'll be sharing more of these in upcoming news releases.
So never fear...the Apocalypse is marching on!

The issue with Battlefield 2 stats not tracking has now been resolved. After the cause was isolated a fix was put into place by the server team earlier this week. Having monitored the situation for the past few days we are now convinced that this was effective in resolving the problem. A smaller issue with Special Forces army play time not tracking was also resolved shortly after it was pointed out to us by community members this week.
We would like to apologize for any frustration caused by both these issues, we hope you enjoy earning your unlocks and ranks now that system is working as intended.

We have identified the problem causing the recent stats issue that has affected a lot of Battlefield 2 players. Our planned fix will ensure that your current and ongoing stats are recorded. In the meantime, we are going to start seeing the stats being processed from the time of the outage. When this happens, over the course of a few days, you may see little to no relevant updates to you stats. This is not because any stats are lost or broken, and you should see normal processing continue once everyone's stats finish processing from that time and the stats are caught up
.
Thank you for your patience the last couple of days. I'll let you know when we have further details.

Starting around the 13th-15th, we saw a sharp increase in soldiers reporting that their stats, awards, and rank are not updating. This is under heavy investigation since, as you know, the ranking system is a central feature of the game.
------------------
Some users are reporting that stats are working again on a number of servers. That is great news! I'm trying to pull information on the issue, the fix (if this is a full fix), and measures going forward so that you have better insight into the work applied to make sure you shouldn't have to see something like this again any time soon.
I'll give you the official update as soon as I have that information!
------------------
Also, I wanted to let you know that we have an answer up about the stats outage (linked below). If you click the Notify Me… button in the answer, you’ll receive an update whenever new information is added.
I appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue and I'll provide updates in this main post as they are available. If you have any comments or would like to post about this issue, please do so here:
Juralis over at http://www.bfapocalypse.com writes.
Welcome back to the Apocalypse!
Let me start off by saying I’m sorry that it has been so long since you’ve heard from us. Things typically cool off for us around the holidays, but several of the guys on the team have also had some big real life changes and challenges that have taken us away from the mod. While we are all dedicated to BFA, our families and real world responsibilities will always come first.
With that said, though, we have been working hard and are getting things back on track lately. We wanted to share with you some updated screens from our “Ground Zero” map, including a couple of great new models. You’ll notice that we are making judicious use of some of the BF2 content, as well. Some of the pieces fit in perfectly with the “Ground Zero” setting. El Teniente is constructing this map, and he is doing a great job of creating a detailed, immersive environment.
We have also completed the modeling work on one of our player models, the Postman. Dermont has been slaving away at this to make it just right. We want to get this guy skinned before we reveal him to you, so keep an eye out for more on the Postman soon!
Work is under way on two more of our maps, and we have a bunch of other things in progress, as well. And don’t think we’ve forgotten our Weapons of the Apocalypse mini-mod! Hitpawz is tweaking the weapon animations now, and we hope to do our next round of testing very soon.
So there you have it. While we have been off the radar for a while, we wanted you all to know that we are still hard at work to bring you the Apocalypse
This is going to be a kick ass mod , I have been keeping an eye it for 2 years now

While we haven't been sticking to our word with regular media updates, we have been very busy beta testing, with more maps and content being added as we polish up the game play and work on areas such as animation.
We've pressed several new crew members into service under the black flag, so we'd like to take this opportunity to welcome Killi Vanilli as our new animator who is joining us from FH2 mod, and Willycoyote, Lucas Flowers, and Sir Naut to the modeling, texture and skinning departments. >
Vic from EoD mod has been hard at work rigging and exporting both the new Pegleg and Undead characters by Eturnip and Animonster (who redid the Pegleg 1p arms) in game, and today we're going to leave you with a quick glimpse of the new character models in screen shots taken by one of our beta testers, CT Stealth.
